Media Professionals of Florida's meetings all start with thirty minutes of great networking and food.
People meet other professionals from the Tampa Bay area, have some snacks and exchange names and business cards.
Merrily Miller, treasurer of Media Professionals of Florida, hosted the meeting as our president was on birthday leave.

Peter Contardo is responsible for business operations, marketing and strategyfor FIT Development Group, LLC.  He talked to us about using today's digital networks to assist emerging businesses on brand creation and new product roll-outs.

Mario Pino is currently responsible for the strategic direction and implementation of Endavo products, a company that provides content and delivery services for audio and visual programs. He discussed how owners of media can manage, market and deliver their “digital” products to consumers through various physical and virtual communities and directly to online consumers.

Mario also showed the group some of the incredible changes in the way media is being presented to consumers.
The control of media is moving from broadcast and cable television to iPods, cell phones, PDAs and through broadband directly to your computer.

Mario showed us some of his clients' on-line distribution systems for media and some of the methodologies used in tracking and getting paid for your content.
Here Mario Pino, Ron Coleman and Peter Contardo answer some of the many questions about the technology of capturing, storing, delivering, protecting and managing content for delivery.

 MARIO PINO is a twenty year veteran in the development of cable television,satellite and IP service offerings.   In the mid 1990’s, Mr. Pino was  known as apioneer in the development of satellite based Internet service offerings.  Duringthis period, Mr. Pino was responsible for the development and deployment of theWORLD’S FIRST IP-based satellite over Internet service, reaching 52 countries,from Turkey to Australia.  In the late 1980’s and early 1990’s, Mr. Pino built and operated cable television operations in California for Total TV.   Mr. Pino is currently responsible for the strategic direction and implementation of Endavo products.

PETER CONTARDO is responsible for business operations, marketing and strategy for FIT Development Group, LLC.  He has over 15 years of demonstrated results in support of key business initiatives for million-dollar start-ups to billion-dollar multinational organizations.  As president of TCG Partners, Inc., Mr. Contardo worked with emerging businesses on brand creation and new product roll-outs. He has produced employee training films, sales videos and multi-media tradeshow presentations.  Mr. Contardo was founder of The Professionals Network(ProNet) of Tampa Bay and Central Florida.  He also served on the inaugural advisory board of the Center for Smart Business.  He holds both an MBA and a BS in Commerce with honors from Rider University.

RON COLEMAN made his ultimate bodybuilding dream a reality when he became the 1994-95 IFBB WORLD CHAMPION, Mr. Universe.  Before retiring, Ron added yet another World Championship title by winning a GOLD MEDAL at the Pan Am Games. As CEO of FIT Development Group, LLC and founder of Fitness Crusaders, Ron’s personal mission is to provide a source of fitness, inspiration and training resources to individuals and organizations.  As part of an innovative broadband video service, Ron is bringing health and fitness programming direct to members of his Get FIT with Ron community through FIT Digital Media.
