Program

"You want me to do WHAT?"

Presenters: Chris Layhe and Spencer Briggs

Are you doing the same thing you were doing 5 years ago? How about a year ago? How about last week? The role of the media person today is increasingly becoming one of needing expertise in multiple roles. In the past, many television people were technicians, experts in one specific area. But with the fast changing world of television, video, media, and the web, it's becoming more and more important to know a lot about a lot. How do you keep up? How have other members been able to adapt? What role can MPFI play in helping members support each other? Members Spencer Briggs and Chris Layhe will conduct a program looking at the speed of change in the media world and sharing suggestions on how each of us can adapt and use our various skills to stay on top of our business.

Mike Oster, F7 Sound and Vision, gave us a look into some of the secrets in producing a web site that promotes business. He provided concrete tips for selling services, products, getting repeat clients and product exposure while spending a minimal amount of money. From creating a "nonlinear" web site to joining professional forums, his insight was extremely beneficial.
