| The 2009 Annual Media Professionals of Florida Awards Banquet was held at the Colonnade Restaurant in Tampa. Each year we celebrate our members and our Board Members are especially recognized for their dedication to our organization. This year a special Tom Schroeppel Award was also given to an outstanding media professional in our community. | |||

Nominated by co-worker Brian Sullivan, the 2009 Tom Schroeppel Award recipient is Frank Crum. He has a long list of volunteer activities. Among them are President of the City of Tampa Black History Committee, the Mayor's Youth Corps, NAACP ACT-SO as a youth mentor, Gamma Zeta Lambda Chapter of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, and the Beulah Baptist Institution Church usher board. |

Frank takes special pride in seeing our young people excel. And on the right, Frank is quite surprised as his name is announced as this year's recipient. His wife, Sherelle, and the City of Tampa Cable Television Manager Mindy Snyder proudly beam with approval.

| David Pless chose David Rosenblatt as the outstanding MPFI Board member. David's deidcation to MPFI is seen through his webmastering of this site, his up-to-date managing of the member data base and as one of the initial founders of the MPFI organization.Cathy Straka, Secretary of MPFI, devotes many volunteer hours in minute taking, refreshment preparation, and meeting organization. What would we do without Cathy! Thanks to both of you! | |||
