Ed Gallizzi, a professor at Eckerd College, was our host for the Final Cut seminar. The morning started with refreshments and then the first part of the seminar began with two and a half hours of in-depth lecture on the basics of non-linear editing.

Ed went into the details of how non-linear editors function as well as where the files are stored and how to make sure they will be there when you want them again.

Using Final Cut, Ed began to take us through the basic start up and operation of Final Cut, a non-linear editor from Apple Computer.

After filling our brains with information, it was time to fill our stomachs as in LUNCH! |

After lunch we went into the computer lab and began to put our new knowledge to the test. |

Working on both Final Cut Express and Final Cut Pro, people began to edit with zeal and a little sweat. |
