The hightech evening started with Merrily Miller and David Rosenblatt of Silver Image Interactive, Inc. who had just returned from Photoshop World in Las vegas. They talked about the size and scope of Photoshop World and the professional seminars that covered topics from digital photography, painting with Photoshop, understanding layers and improving the look of your text. Over 3,000 happy Photoshop users from around the world attended this conference. |

Jon Novosielski also was at Photoshopworld as a representative of WACOM. Jon brought us the newest graphic tablet from WACOM called Graphire and it is a bluetooth enabled pad so you can use it anywhere in a conference room or office without any wires. Jon is also the owner of the Digital Technology Center in Sarasota and provides classes in all of the latest technologies. Our first presenter from NAB was Barry Bienstock of TV Journal, Inc. DBA/Dahill Studios, who showed us several different camera mounting systems to make hand holding cameras more stable. Bryan DiCerb, a freelance director, producer, camera, editor, gave us a good look at Panasonic's answer to the new "Low Cost HD Systems" with the introduction of their P2 based HVX200 camera that doesn't use video tape. The data is stored on solid state cards. |

It's a collapsible zeppelin-like windshield is made from an innovative fabric that blocks wind noise in gusts of up to 56 mph while allowing accurate sound reproduction and audio transparency. | Jeremy Hummer of Hi-Tech Enterprises showed us two products from Sony, first the new HVR-M10U which records the new HDV format as well as DVCAM and DV. An excellent tool for those of us looking into the new HD format. Jeremy also showed us the ASG500 Sony Anycast Station Live Content Producer that is a studio in a laptop.
