Pinellas 18 was our HOST and a great one at that. Networking is always fun, and an excellent opportunity to make new business contacts and the food was great.

Barry Bienstock President of Media Professionals of Florida opened the meeting and introduced Tom Krug our program coordniator.

Follow Focus, the April meeting's title, was addressed both photographically and metaphorically.
Tom Krug proposed that focus in a larger sense is at the core of all exceptional human efforts including every aspect of media production. |

The meeting's three taped presentations demonstrated how the special equipment and the techniques of Following Focus (“pulling focus”) are used in complex, cinematic productions. |

In a departure from the MPFI norm, more meeting time was given to audience participation: people shared their thoughts on budget concerns, client expectations and differing perceptions of on-screen excellence. |

After the meeting we had a tour of the Pinellas 18 facilities and saw a lot of high tech equipment..
