| This month's meeting was held at the OmniComm Studios - Valcom Studios in Clearwater. | |||

| As always networking is a large part of the professional media scene and great food makes it even more fun to network. | |||

| David Pless, President of Media Professionals of Florida, welcomes new guests and new members. | |||

| Christian Glawe was here from LA producing a video project and was generous enough to provide a presentation he called “Fix It In Pre.” | |||
![]() |
| Unlike the old philosophy, “Fix It In Post,” Chris is a big fan of planning in advance of the shoot to save time, money and frustration… and sometimes save the client! | |||

| Chris gave a short primer on the basics of planning… HD or SD. The scan rate, resolution, frame rate and aspect ratio you are shooting aren’t things you should be discussing on the day of production! And start the planning by looking at the end of the job is a great way to save time. Work backwards from your deliverables! |

| Don’t be confused by what the client tells you. The end client may want 1080i, but that doesn’t mean it has to be shot that way. Similarly, your client may want something that is “only for the web.” Be sure there isn’t any possibility of needing an HD broadcast version before you commit to a low-res production. | |||

| There was a great turnout for this presentation… and the audience stayed tuned because Chris provided a great mix of practical and technical info. | |||

| Color Sampling… now there’s a topic that sounds technical and dry. Fortunately, this was an easy to understand version of Color Sampling! | |||

Chris provided resources for more info on the topic he discussed. If you haven’t tried these, you should!
