"Introduction to Lighting"

Our meeting was held at the City of Tampa Television Studios and befoe the meeting we networked and enjoyed a tour of the facilities. Everyone had a good time and made new contacts. The meeting "Introduction to Lighting" was presented by Steve Brown of 10-20 Productions, David Rosenblatt of Silver Image Interactive, Inc. and Joel Freedman of 2 Hungry Dogs Productions.

David Rosenblatt of Silver Image Interactive, Inc started the evening off with an introduction to lighting that explained why good lighting is important. He then went on to cover the aspects of light, the contrast range and types of lights and their uses.David demonstrated basic 3 point lighting by combining a projected media presentation and a live demonstration at the same time.

Joel Freedman of 2 Hungry Dogs Productions discussed color temperature and how to correct it for different locations and lighting.

Steve Brown gave an excellent presentation on the importance of using a scope with a chip chart to produce high quality lighting.

Joel and Steve worked together and challenged us with an interactive quiz on the names and uses of a variety of grip equipment.
